Strong magnets for specific applications and material properties

Strong magnets, also called "rare earth magnets," refer to neodymium-iron-boron magnets, which are made of neodymium-iron-boron. This material, with its three advantages of small size, light weight, and strong magnetism, can be said to be a very good magnet or permanent magnetic material. In the raw materials, there are rare earth cerium, metal cerium, pure iron, aluminum, ferro-iron alloys and other rare earth materials. In applications, it is for energy, transportation, machinery, medical care and home appliances.

 

1. The application of strong magnets

 

Application 1: Electroacoustics, such as loudspeakers, microphones, alarms, stage sounds, and car stereos.

Application area 2: Electronic appliances, such as power meters, water meters, microphones, reed switches, sensors, magnetic latching relays, and permanent magnet mechanism vacuum circuit breakers.

Application area 3: In the motor industry, such as generators, motors, servo motors, micro-motors and motors, etc.

Application area 4: Mechanical equipment and health care industries, such as magnetic separation, magnetic separators and magnetic machinery, as well as nuclear magnetic resonance and magnetic health care products.

 

2. Material properties of strong magnets

The material of the strong magnet is a neodymium-iron-boron magnetic material, that is, an alloy of niobium, iron oxide, and the like. In addition, it is a kind of permanent magnet with strong magnetism in the magnet, which has extremely high magnetic properties and can inhale a weight equivalent to 640 times its own weight.

 

NdFeB magnetic materials, the common brands, are mainly N30-N52, 30H-50H, 30SH-50SH, 28UH-40UH, 30EH-35EH and so on. The mechanical properties of this material are very good and can be easily processed in various ways. However, its temperature performance is not very good, and the magnetic loss at high temperatures is relatively large, so care must be taken. However, if you perform some special treatment, you can let it work at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius, which means that strong magnets can be used at high temperatures.
